Campobello Island — 17-year-old boy dies following single-vehicle crash

A 17-year-old boy from Campobello Island, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle crash in the community. On March 22, 2024, at approximately 11:20 p.m., members of the St. Stephen RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 774 in Wilsons Beach on Campobello Island. The driver of the vehicle was transported to hospital with serious injuries. A 17-year-old passenger, and only other occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
