Fredericton — RCMP seeking public's help in connection with copper wire thefts

The New Brunswick RCMP is seeking the public's help to identify potential copper wire thefts, and is warning of the dangers of vandalizing electrical equipment. Since 2022, there has been a significant increase in reports of copper wire thefts across the province, which has resulted in millions of dollars worth of losses to businesses, homes, and government departments.  Copper wire thefts also pose a significant risk to public safety as it can limit access to 911 and other critical infrastructure.
