A 30-year-old man from Carleton North, N.B., has been charged following a shooting incident in the community of East Brighton, N.B. On July 21, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the Western Valley Region RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a residence on Brighton Cross Road in the community. When police arrived, they determined that a man attended the residence and fired several shots towards the house and the home owner. He then assaulted the home owner before fleeing the scene in a car.
