Baie de Petit-Pokemouche — RCMP investigating human remains discovered

The Lamèque RCMP is investigating the discovery of human remains in Baie de Petit-Pokemouche, N.B.On July 17, 2024, at approximately 7:10 p.m., members of the Lamèque RCMP detachment located  human remains  in a wooded area off of Highway 113 in Baie de Petit-Pokemouche. The remains were discovered in an area of interest in the search for a missing 54-year-old woman from Shippagan, who was last seen on June 30, 2024. Police have not yet confirmed the identity of the remains.
