Burnt Church — RCMP investigating discovery of human remains

The Neguac RCMP is investigating the discovery of human remains in Burnt Church, N.B. On July 21, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., with the public's help, members of the Neguac RCMP located human remains along the shore of Burnt Church River, in Burnt Church. The remains were discovered in an area of interest in the search for a missing 33-year-old man from Burnt Church, who was last seen on July 16, 2024. Police have not yet confirmed the identity of the remains. The investigation is continuing to identify the remains and to determine the cause of death.
