Atholville — RCMP seeking public's help following theft

The Campbellton RCMP is asking for the public's help to identify a person of interest following a theft in Atholville, N.B. The theft is believed to have occurred on August 20, 2024, at approximately 4 a.m., at a business on Notre-Dame Street, in Atholville. The individual arrived on an all-terrain-vehicle (ATV), took a six-foot stainless steal patio heater, mounted it to the ATV, and left the scene. The heater was later recovered on Vanier Street, in Campbellton.

On October 7, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m., members of the Tracadie RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 135 in Hacheyville. An 81-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
